About David P. Enslin

Hi, I'm David P Enslin. If we've just met over a cup of coffee, chances are we won't spend much time talking about property. I'd rather get to know you first. You see, I've always believed that people matter more than transactions. Property is simply the vehicle that allows me to help people through some of life's biggest decisions. Ironically, real estate wasn't part of my original plan. Before entering the property industry more than three decades ago, I had built a successful career as a financial broker. Life was good. I enjoyed professional recognition, financial success, and the opportunity to help people plan for their futures. My first glimpse into real estate came when I was asked to help resolve a difficult relationship between an estate agent and a seller. The listing had become challenging, communication had broken down, and the sale seemed unlikely. Through negotiation, understanding and a willingness to listen, we turned the situation around and successfully sold the property. That experience stayed with me. Not long afterwards, something happened that changed the direction of my career. One of my financial planning clients came to see me after being retrenched. He wasn't worried because we'd spent years putting a solid financial plan in place. Then the unexpected happened. His insurance claim was declined because of a minor non-disclosure dating back many years. Watching someone who had done everything right lose the security they believed they had left a lasting impression on me. I realised I wanted to work in a profession where trust, relationships and integrity weren't hidden in the fine print. So I made what many considered a crazy decision. I walked away from a successful career and started again with a small, family-owned real estate business. People often ask if I was nervous. The honest answer is... not really. Not because I thought success would come easily, but because I had confidence in something much deeper than the profession itself. Throughout my life I'd discovered that if I committed wholeheartedly to something, worked hard, treated people fairly and never stopped learning, I could build something meaningful. More importantly, I wanted every person I met to be better off because our paths had crossed. That simple belief has guided my career ever since. Today, more than 30 years later, I've had the privilege of assisting with approximately 1,500 property transactions across residential, commercial, retail and industrial real estate. I've been honoured with recognition as a Top Listing Agent, Top Selling Agent, Top Team performer, and helped lead a franchise office consistently ranked among the Top 10 nationally. I'm grateful for every award. But they aren't what I'm most proud of. What means the most to me are the families who found their first home, the investors who built wealth, the business owners who found premises that helped them grow, the landlords who trusted me to protect their investments, and the relationships that have continued for years after the paperwork was signed. I've never measured success by the number of properties I've sold. I measure it by the difference I've made in people's lives. Over the years my role has grown beyond simply selling property. I've become a mentor to agents, a trusted advisor to clients, and someone people often call when they simply need an honest opinion. Sometimes the best advice I give isn't about buying or selling at all. Sometimes it's helping someone realise that waiting is the better decision. That has always been more important to me than closing another deal. Outside of real estate, my life continues to revolve around serving others. As a chaplain, I've had the privilege of supporting people through some of life's most difficult moments—in hospitals, alongside emergency services, within prison ministry, through disaster relief, on the streets, and in the motorcycle community. Those experiences have taught me something no textbook ever could. Every person has a story. Every family carries hopes, challenges and dreams. And every property transaction is about far more than bricks and mortar. Whether you're buying your first home, selling a family property filled with memories, growing an investment portfolio, or looking for commercial premises to expand your business, my commitment remains the same as it was on my very first day in real estate: To listen first. To serve with integrity. To give honest advice. And to leave you in a better position than when we first met. If that's the kind of relationship you're looking for, I'd be honoured to help you write the next chapter of your property journey.
